FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS- Laser Resurfacing

Laser Resurfacing treatment decreases the appearance of skin imperfections and redness by stimulating collagen production. The laser is used to heat the layers of the skin and supply heat to dilated capillaries. It also kills bacteria on and under the skin, leading to fewer outbreaks of acne as well. When it comes to smoothing wrinkles, reducing pore size and lightening pigmentation laser resurfacing skin treatment is one of the best laser treatments available.

Laser Resurfacing is best when used in conjunction with our Micro-Needling procedure to assist in reducing the appearance of acne scarring, rosacea, pigmentation, fine lines and improve the overall tone and texture of the skin. This treatment can be performed on the face and body of male and female clients.

How do these two procedures work together?
Both the Laser Resurfacing and the Micro-Needling complement each other, and accomplish two specific goals. First, the Laser Resurfacing, with the bulk heating this procedure produces, encourages new, healthy skin cells to grow, and stimulates the fibroblasts to produce new collagen. After the second step, a Micro-Needling procedure, the thin surface layers of your skin begin to peel after about 4-5 days. (The inflammation caused by this procedure also helps your skin with collagen production!) Your skin is then smoother, the texture of scars are improved, pigmentation is reduced, and redness and fine lines are less noticeable. Bring on my new Collagen! (This collagen production continues for the next 12 weeks, so be patient!)

How often will I need to come in for a session?
Clients will come one time every six weeks. The skin will continue to improve over the course of 4-6 sessions.

Will I need to come for follow-up sessions after I have completed this series of treatments?
As with anything in life, maintenance is usually required. It's most advantageous to have the pair of these services every 4-6 months, depending on your personal goals to maintain and support your new and improved, healthier complexion.
