What is Micro Needling?
Micro Needling, or Collagen Induction Therapy, utilizes a pen-like tool to deliver thousands of tiny pin-point micro channels into the skin which stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin….the building blocks of firmer, younger
looking skin. During the process, anti aging serums and human growth factors can be infused deeper into the skin for greater overall results.

What types of skin issues can Micro Needling benefit?
It will minimize pore size, reduce acne scarring and redness from rosacea, smooth out fine wrinkles, and improve stretch marks. It can tighten and rejuvenate skin, lighten sun/age spots, and help transform the appearance of surgical scars,

and flatten keloid scars.

How can human growth factors improve my treatment?
Growth factors boost skin cell growth, especially when placed deeper into the dermis with a treatment like Micro Needling. When applied during this process, growth factors are one of the best active ingredients that promote healing, and reduce inflammation and pigmentation. Growth factors communicate with your own cells, encouraging them to create more collagen and elastin, which keep skin smoother and firmer for a healthier, more youthful complexion.

How often will I need to have a Micro Needling treatment?
Depending on what your goals are, better results are achieved with more treatments. Most will do 3-4 sessions, spaced out at least 4 weeks apart. Others who may have more severe issues will do up to 6 sessions. Two or three sessions per year are suggested as maintenance to perpetuate the benefits.

Is there any downtime?
Following a treatment, there is going to be some redness, similar to sunburn. After about two days, any inflammation/redness will subside. In the following days, you will experience some flakiness and peeling. After this, smoother, softer skin is revealed. (*With subsequent treatments, the skin heals more quickly and efficiently because of its improved strength and health.)

What products are recommended after a treatment?
Immediately afterwards, we carry a product called Oxygenetix. It is an aloe- based foundation with a 25 SPF, that calms irritation and helps cover redness. In between treatments, we suggest a few items from our natural, plant-based skin care line called Sanitas. It will aid in healing, while it feeds, and nurturers your fresh new skin!
